The Jetsetters Journal is published by Adventure Studios, a trading name of Metro Farms Ltd (company number 16907105, registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX). We are the controller of the personal information described here. Questions go to [email protected].

The short version

  • You can read every page without telling us anything about yourself.
  • We do not run analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.
  • If you join the newsletter, we keep your email address to send it, and nothing else.
  • We never sell or rent your information.

The newsletter

If you sign up to "One good decision, every Sunday", we keep your email address, the date you signed up and the page you signed up on, so we can send the newsletter and show that you asked for it. Our lawful basis is your consent. Every email will carry a link to unsubscribe, or you can email us and we will remove you. We delete your address when you unsubscribe.

Sign-ups are stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this site and processes the data on our behalf. When we start sending the newsletter we will name the email service we use here before the first issue goes out.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we keep the conversation for as long as we need it to reply and for our records, and no longer than two years unless it becomes part of a business relationship.

Booking links

Some pages carry booking links marked "Ad". When you click one you leave our site, and the booking site (such as Booking.com) handles your visit and any booking under its own privacy policy. It may tell us that a booking came from our link so we can be paid a commission; it does not tell us who you are.

What happens when you visit

Like every website, our host Cloudflare receives technical information when your browser requests a page, including your IP address, to deliver the page and protect the site from attack. We do not use this to identify you. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address when a page loads. See our cookies page for more.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will reply within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
