The short answer

Which luxury villa to rent

Prices checked 18 October 2026

The six luxury villas we would rent for a group: Villa Majoris in Comporta (from €6,500 a week, sleeps 6), Villa Safir on Brač in Croatia (from €7,250, sleeps 12), Villa Lega in Bali (about €8,029 a week, sleeps 10), Portobello in Barbados (from $12,950, sleeps 10), Torre Amalfi on the Amalfi Coast (about €12,999, sleeps 12, staff included) and Villa Era in Mallorca (from €21,535, sleeps 18).

Split the full house and the cheapest of them is €604 each for the week, at Villa Safir in the low season. The calculator below works it out for your group, and tells you when a villa is too small.

Every price here is the agency's own published price, read on 18 October 2026. Where a listing gives a nightly rate we show seven nights. Taxes, extras and a private chef are usually on top; we say where staff are included.

Questions

Villa rentals: what people ask

How much does a luxury villa cost per person?

For the six here, the lowest published week split across a full house runs from €604 each at Villa Safir on Brač (12 people) to about $1,295 each at Portobello in Barbados (10 people). Taxes, a chef and extras are usually on top.

Is a villa booking protected if the company goes bust?

Not by ATOL if you book the villa on its own: the Civil Aviation Authority says accommodation-only bookings are not ATOL protected, because they do not include a flight. Check whether the agency is an ABTA member, and pay by credit card.

How do I avoid a villa rental scam?

Book through an established agency, check it is an ATOL holder or ABTA member, pay by credit card rather than bank transfer, and take out travel insurance when you book. Action Fraud had 6,640 holiday fraud reports in 2023, with £12.3 million lost.

Are staff included in a luxury villa?

It depends on the villa. Housekeeping is usually included; a private chef usually is not. Of the six here, Villa Lega in Bali includes a chef and a villa manager, and Torre Amalfi includes a butler and a chef for lunch and dinner six days a week.

What does Saturday to Saturday mean?

Many villas only let in whole weeks that start and end on a Saturday, so you must arrive and leave on that day. Torre Amalfi and Villa Era both work this way, with a seven-night minimum.
